YouTube Marketing: Take It to the Next Level

No company can deny it. YouTube marketing has opened up whole new doors in advertising opportunities. Online tools are the biggest resources companies have to reach a huge audience simultaneously, and the bigger the audience is, the better the tool. Social networks like Facebook and Twitter have gained marketers' recognition as advertising outlets, but YouTube is close behind in terms of visitation and allows businesses to market their products through online video. As new add-ons are supplied by YouTube daily, the opportunities never cease!
Reasons for YouTube Marketing
You already know all the reasons to bring your marketing efforts to YouTube. You have the ability to market directly to your audience through video format while connecting with them through comments and channels. YouTube has a variety of sharing options such as those you would see on a blog or social network. YouTube users can share videos through Facebook, Twitter, email, and multiple other internet mediums. This function is perfect for loyal customers to share their success with a company with the click of the mouse pad. And your goal is to make sharing company success easy, right?
YouTube also now has a feature called "realtime updates." With this feature, companies are seeing YouTube move toward a social network direction, making hopes bright for directly connecting through YouTube with customers. Another incredibly useful feature for marketers is YouTube's Insight Statistics and Data on videos. This allows you to keep track of how many views your video receives, the success rate of your video's message through ratings, and basic viewer demographics. And guess what? It's free.
Through YouTube, viewers also have the ability to comment on videos. The entire point of marketing is to interact with viewers in a way that brings products and people together! Online, people have no problem speaking their mind. When viewers comment on videos, marketers automatically get honest responses over the current videos and receive ideas for new ones.
Four Ways to Step Your YouTube Marketing Up a Notch
1. Researching the Audience
This goes back to Marketing 101. Research is the core of your YouTube marketing strategy. Before ever turning on the video software, some serious research needs to be done to find out exactly what keywords are going to be necessary for your video to obtain views. Keyword search will tell you the demand for the product or service, the YouTube competition you will be facing, and the audience that is looking for you. Keyword searches should be done for YouTube. Do not base a video off of Google keyword searches. Find a reportedly productive YouTube keyword search tool and depend on it for your video's keywords.
2. Keeping It Short
Be wary of the length. Video ads should be short and to the point. They need to audience specific and last within about 3 minutes. Three minutes is the general deadline for an audience's focus, and after this time period you will probably lose their attention. Dividing long videos into shorter ones can be a way to hook the audience while explaining all that needs to be explained in a video series.
3. Creativity
Utilize the keywords you found in your search in a creative way. People on YouTube expect entertainment, not a boring ad that plays before the video they actually want to see. Be creative with your video! Only the videos that make people actually respond will ever show a productive influence as a marketing strategy. Captivate the audience while still providing a good portrayal of the product or service you provide. When the YouTube audience happens to find your keyword optimized, entertaining video, you could go viral. Every company wants a positive video everywhere; it gives them good, free publicity!
4. Incentives
People love free things. By providing a way for people to receive free samples of products or services, marketers can boost their popularity and create some serious talk about their company. This is easy for content on the web with a free download; non-web based products can be provided by mail. Once the audience loves what they experience, they are sure to go back on your YouTube channel and comment!

How to Effectively Tag YouTube Videos
One of the easiest ways to get more exposure and views to your YouTube videos is by properly tagging them. Tagging is an easy thing to do but can be tricky to learn. There is a lot of playing around involved, a lot of trial and error. I will lay down the basics in this blog for you to start taking a stab at your own videos.
Step 1 Figuring out your Audience
Before you can even begin tagging you need some keywords, and before you can pick out keywords you need to figure out your audience. Who is going to be viewing this video? Who is this video meant for? What type of people are going to find your video and how are they going to find it? Placing yourself in your viewer's shoes is the best way to start figuring out who is going to view your video.

Who is this video meant for? What type of people are going to find your video and how are they going to find it? Placing yourself in your viewer's shoes is the best way to start figuring out who is going to view your video.
What you want to do exactly is pretend you are the ideal viewer for your video and try to imagine what they would type into YouTube's search bar. Remember YouTube is owned by Google and works in the exact same way with searched. If your video is about buying and selling iPods on eBay - you're not going to title and tag your video, "Buying and Selling iPods on Ebay". You may want to title it - "How to Make Money Buying and Selling Ipods on Ebay". Now we have more or less the keyword and phrases we are going to tag for.
Step 2 Choosing Your Keywords
When it comes to actually choosing them being succinct is key. Don't beat around the bush and don't try to throw in keywords for the sake of getting extra traffic. Pick your keywords and stick with them, optimize in and around them. Let's take a look at this iPod example again. "How to Make Money Buying and Selling Ipods on Ebay" is a good title to use. It is more than likely what a quality viewer will type into the search bar. So where do I enter tags and where do I throw in these phrases you may ask.

It is more than likely what a quality viewer will type into the search bar. So where do I enter tags and where do I throw in these phrases you may ask.
The Title: The most important keywords and phrases should go here. Focus exactly on what the viewer will be inquiring about and throw them in here. So for example we may have this same title "How to Make Money Buying and Selling Ipods on eBay" right in there.
The Tags: In this section we are going to re-emphasize the important key terms and throw in some additional ones to help scoop relevant traffic. A couple things to remember here is that you do not need to re-emphasize your entire title, some people like to do this to ensure to themselves they are tagging but in reality it doesn't do anything as YouTube will pick up on your keywords from the title first. Here we can see additional keywords like "tutorial", "guide" and "help with" have been added because along side "how to" these are other relevant terms that may come up.
The Description: In this section I usually post a link to my blog post I am embedding the video in or to an affiliate product that the video is for. Obviously you should put a relevant link in here if it is needed. As for actual SEO, I usually throw in an excerpt from the blog post and or a short paragraph explaining what the video is about. You don't need to go overboard here but it is smart to include a paragraph or two containing sentences with your keywords and alternative forms of them. For example, you'd include something like: "This is a video explaining how to make money with eBay by buying and reselling iPods. In order to buy an iPod I would recommend looking for the cheapest price from a high values seller." If you notice, I have included alternative forms of buying and selling. You should do this for all major keywords.
Step 3 Not Making Things Over Complicated
It can be easy to drown yourself in unnecessary sorrow trying to optimize your videos. Remember to just pick some keywords based on what your viewer is going to enter. Optimize these keywords in you title, tags and description. Keep it simple, there is no need to throw in everything but the kitchen sink here; succinct tagging is the way to go!

Many frustrated users addicted to video streaming ask this question. Although the sudden slowdown of the giant video site occurs occasionally at the user side, people are clueless what could be the cause of this problem. It is understood no body wants to wait long for videos to load and then watch them especially if the videos are longer and are in several parts. Faster streaming is the need of every internet user. If YouTube runs slow sometimes then there are surely some reasons behind that. Most people are not sure what to do in such a situation and make the videos load faster in YouTube.
Before I share the guidelines to deal with this speed slowdown I would invite you to think of the reasons which result in YouTube errors such as sluggish streaming, flash crashing in YouTube and other YouTube videos errors. There are two major reasons which result in these annoyances. One is the problem at the user end that includes PC speed, Internet speed, PC Windows errors, PC programs conflict such as Flash issues, while the second reason may be caused by the server or external internet traffic load. Although the web site is very effectively maintained there appear some troubles sometimes. This, however, is not a big issue as we all trust the services provided by such a user friendly web site. The issue becomes serious when video errors and slow speed becomes a routine. This has to be something to do with the personal computer one is using.

* Disable ads through some of the browser plug in that will allow you to run fewer background services while you are playing videos online.
* Try to change your flash player version. Although the YouTube has started to stream videos through a new technology there is still a large number of web sites using the flash platform.
